RUNNER WAIVER, HEALTH DECLARATION AND CONSENT

1. About me I confirm I am 18 or over, and that the information I have given in this form is true and complete.

2. I understand the risks I understand The 100K Hustle involves long-distance running, starting from 4:00am in the dark, in summer heat, on paths shared with cyclists, pedestrians and other runners. I understand the risks include falls, collisions, muscle and joint injury, heat illness, dehydration, cardiac events and, in rare cases, serious injury or death. I understand these risks cannot be completely removed, even where the event is run with care.

3. My health and responsibility I am responsible for my own fitness and safety. I confirm I am fit to take part and that, if I have any health concern, I have taken medical advice. I will follow marshals' and organisers' directions, stay within the course, stop if I feel unwell, and not take part if I am sick, injured or affected by alcohol or drugs. I agree the Organiser can remove me from the event for safety or conduct reasons.

4. Taking part at my own risk I choose to take part voluntarily and accept the risks described above. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I release the Organiser, its volunteers and contractors from liability for loss, injury or damage I suffer in connection with the event, except for loss caused by their gross negligence or deliberate misconduct, or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in this waiver limits any right I have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

5. Emergencies I consent to first aiders and emergency services giving me treatment and arranging transport if needed. I authorise the Organiser to share my emergency contact and relevant health details with them for that purpose.

6. Photos and video I consent to being photographed and filmed at the event, and to the Organiser using that footage to promote The 100K Hustle and Nicholas Reeder Designs.

7. My information I understand the Organiser will collect and use my information, including health information, to run the event, keep me safe and handle emergencies, as set out in the Privacy Policy. Health information is shared only with first aiders and emergency services where needed.

8. Event terms I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and the Participant Terms & Health Warning.
